REVIEW/SELECTION PROCESS
Please carefully read about the scholarship eligibility criteria on the flyer as well as the application materials. Also feel free to contact previous recipients of the scholarship for helpful tips.
After the deadline, all applications will be evaluated by the ZNS review team/volunteers. Each applicant will be scored based on the eligibility criteria, strength of his or her application materials, and the communication skills demonstrated during the interview.
Scores will be allocated as follows:
• Fulfillment of the eligibility criteria (5%)
• Clear attention to detail (5%)
• Personal statement (20%)
• CV and recommendation letter (10%)
• Evidence of academic performance (unofficial transcripts) (25%)
• Statement of need (10%)
• Interview (25%)
* For Innovative Teaching applicants, the teaching and personal statements will be scored separately and averaged to get 20 points
Applicants with the highest total score will receive the award.

REVIEW/SELECTION PROCESS
After the deadline, all applications will be evaluated by the ZNS review team/volunteers. Each applicant will be scored based on the eligibility criteria, strength of his or her application materials, and the communication skills demonstrated during the interview.
Note that the reviewers may not be experts in AI or data science but are expected to have basic familiarity with AI or data science terms. Therefore, when packaging your portfolio for submission, keep it fairly simple.
Also note that reviewers will be advised to pay attention to the quality of the portfolio submitted. If invited for interview, you may be asked to give a presentation to demonstrate how the portfolio works.
Just as a reference, your portfolio may cover statistics/programming languages, SQL, power BI, Tableau, visualization tools, machine learning, and should demonstrate your analytical abilities.
